Rui Wang is EVP and Head of Global In Silico and AI at Evotec, where he leads the company's AI strategy and capability across computational biology, molecular design, and AI platforms. He joined in May 2026, reporting to the Chief Science Officer, with a remit spanning strategy, capability building, and commercial positioning. He previously spent close to a decade at AstraZeneca, where he led Data, Analytics and AI, building data platforms, knowledge fabrics, and agentic AI systems at enterprise scale. He writes Mind and Machine Weekly, a newsletter on how AI reshapes organisations, and is based between Abingdon and Göttingen.
